- Crystals – hardy – encase in glass/resin – example white gold rim and glass casing – feeling of unreachability – elusive nature narrative
- Mark Dion – language of victorian museums – vitrines and cabinets
- Output needs to be clarified – practical? benefit as a product? grow your own? a special present? growth from scratch – kit of parts –
- Finished and resolved outcome – either kit – sgtart to finish growth system, or casings – can it be both, a conceptual collection and a commercial collection?
- Check skin safety – reactions, allergies
- Stains on clothes? (when wet?)
- Comfortable? everyday? uncomfortable? costume jewellery?
- End goal – audience – work back
- Aesthetic of crystals – marine organisms – emotion – holidays – appeal – precious environment
- Use of absorbents – found objects? twigs? driftwood? (Marcel Dunger – driftwood and resin)
- Unconventional materials – give them status and value
