- Strong context, exposed me to the study of many greats – Wendy Ramshaw, V&A artefacts, Chihuly (at V&A and Kew Gardens), Picasso (through Wendy Ramshaw)
- Introduction to many amazing art processes – for each
- Need to reflect on each artist’s process, and provenance of each context – for more in depth abstraction of forms and aesthetics (refer deeper aspects, not just literal)
Further Research – next prototype?
- More abstract form – current – typical hut shape
- Weaving warp – explore dynamic arrangement as opposed to straight ‘cage’ lines; allow bigger negative spaces for plants
- Material palette – expand and accommodate bold material
- Technique – replace wire wrapping with welding in cage form
- Explore wire further – as a versatile material (hardware)
- Develop concept of parasitic invasions as a more solid statement – to reach and impact audience
- Explore more response with human body and contact with nature and structure – as done in lost timepiece
- Explore growing architecture (fungus buildings) as possible research
- develop handle as responsive to human hand – in between spiral and palm imprint
- Document interaction between rooted plants and structure over time for time-based experiment
- Further refine abstraction process (bolder, less literal) for further development of aesthetic identity
- Study emotional aspects of ‘objects of desire’ – Unexpected pleasures
