- Weave – invention of a process
- Use weave as a new starting point
- (Dont take hot house reference too literally)
- Revisit Wendy Ramshaw’s gates and her subtle abstraction process – develop aesthetics and functionality
- Develop weave as aesthetic goal
- Focus on completing handbag before other ideas (time piece, footwear, headgear)
- Living plants – intriguing idea
- resin – bad idea
- Develop handles with handbag point of view – What should the handle be made of? What would go with this idea?? What would complement the idea?
- Invoke from hot house – shadows, pane patterns, abstract geometry, not literal shapes
- Victorian rose window – too conventional, explore abstract, subtle forms.
I really benefited from the tutorial at this point, as I realized that I had been sidetracked from my initial ‘Drawing from space’ process. It still remains one major personal goal to develop my aesthetic and visual identity through this project.
